I agree about the "death" of freedom of speech... its a right that is violated every day... and i wonder why exactly these specific bands are always used as scapegoats for people's problems... is it because they are different? I think it was in the 70s and 80s when alot of bands were being protested as "crossing the line" and many record stores refused to sell their cds because they were seen as promoting pornography, violence or some anything else that was viewed as wrong... But i guess it all comes down to exactly how much freedom is really allowed in the first place...

Eh Hillary really didn't have that much to do with it, it was Gore's wife and their "Filthy Fifteen". Ever since then PMRC has had a musical burr of their ass.

Heaven forbid we may have suggestive lyrics. I do believe Dee Snider said that anybody could interprit lyrics to what ever they wanted.

And Gore claims to like music by bands such as Judas Priest and Frank Zappa...

The problem is, it continues to repeat itself. The government is too worried about its social image to let any innovations be made. Heaven forbid that a self righteous group may form, so they immediatly deemed anarchist or anti-christ. Stupidity is the major problem currently.

I will agree that currently Hillary hasnt helped the situation, how ever untill the government gets their heads out of their asses, and the general population takes time to understand the correct lyrical interpritation, its gonna continue.

The government (PMRC mainly) fears one major thing though, the educated metal heads. For the fact that they are easily counter acted.

Oh god, it was terrible. It was these sheets of plaster cloth that i had to cut into strips, dunk in cups of water then form them around my arm in the metal horns sign so the plaster dried that way. So i had to keep my arm straight and do that for about half an hour holding it in front of a fan. Then i had to cut it right down my arm to get it off, almost slit my wrist all the way down, then plaster it back together. It was hell.
